Steel beams frame into a structural steel column flange with a moment connection utilizing connection plates and stiffener plates fabricated from Grade 50 steel. A one-inch by one-inch clip is applied typically at the beam web and flange intersection. For opposite beams of different depths up to a three-inch maximum, the bottom stiffener plate is sloped between the beam flanges.
