A wide-flange steel beam frames into a masonry wall utilizing a bearing plate with anchor studs and a continuous angle at the top flange. Stiffener plates are welded to the web of the beam on each side as required. Additional reinforcing bars are centered under the beam within the masonry cavity. Solid grout fills the beam pocket and surrounds the connection assembly.
