A wood bench is mounted on three-quarter-inch thick built-up steel brackets spaced at four feet six inches on center maximum and at each end, welded with quarter-inch fillet welds typically. The brackets are secured to a twelve-inch concrete retaining wall via stainless steel five-eighths-inch diameter by five-inch embedment anchor bolts. A half-inch corten steel plate backs the wall face, while a half-inch by six-and-a-half-inch wide steel plate attaches the wood bench using nine stainless steel self-drilling screws measuring quarter-inch by two-and-a-half-inches typically. The retaining wall features number four reinforcing bars at twelve inches on center each way on each face with two inches of formed clearance. The concrete spread footing measures two feet six inches minimum wide by one foot deep, reinforced with number five bars at twelve inches on center each way top and bottom with three inches of clear cover.
