A half-inch thick steel embed plate utilizes six three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch long headed anchor studs. A second configuration consists of a one-and-a-quarter-inch thick steel embed plate anchored by four number seven reinforcing bars. These bars require a standard hook with a minimum twenty-inch length, unless a thirty-inch straight bar length is achievable. A seven-sixteenths-inch fillet weld is typical for the connection of the anchors to the plate.
