A buckling-restrained brace connects to a steel beam and steel column framing assembly with welded gusset plates. Diagonal braces feature slotted gusset plates designed by the brace manufacturer, with typical stiffener plates provided on near side and far side as required. Steel beams and steel columns are sized per plan, with typical connection plates at the beam flanges and concrete placed over a metal deck floor assembly.
