A wood beam specified per plan connects to a wood post using a CCO post cap for typical conditions or an ECCLQ/ECC post cap for end conditions. A beam splice occurs directly over the support where required. Fasteners secure the post cap brackets to both the framing members per the manufacturer specifications.
