A three-quarter-inch plate connects to a hollow structural section column per elevations using a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld. The assembly features a gusset plate specified per detail F23 on sheet S-542. Four one-inch diameter A490-PT-STD bolts secure the connection across an eight-inch by one-foot plate dimension with five-inch and nine-inch bolt spacings.
