A pipe passes horizontally through an interior wall containing a galvanized steel pipe sleeve installed flush with the wall surfaces. The annular space between the pipe and sleeve is sealed in accordance with penetration seal specifications. Insulation is provided where specified, and exposed piping receives an escutcheon. Approved UL firestop assembly numbers govern pipe penetrations through cast-in-place concrete, concrete masonry units, and gypsum board wall types.
