The bottom flange bracing assembly consists of an L 4x4x3/8 angle brace connected with five-eighths inch diameter machine bolts at each end. A 3/16 inch fillet weld is specified for the field weld as required. The layout includes a 1 1/2 inch typical dimension spacing between elements, spanning a distance per plan with an allowable equivalent force FEQ of 0.7K under Allowable Strength Design.
