An L1 3/4x1 3/4x1/4 angle is placed on top of the steel decking adjacent to each cut web and must extend three webs past the opening typically. Connections are made using an 1/8 by 1/2 weld or alternately a number 10 screw through an angle with a pre-drilled hole from the top or a self-drilling screw installed from below at each cut web. Multiple openings are considered a single opening unless dimensions C and E exceed specific calculated thresholds based on web spacing.
