A structural steel column is welded to a three-quarter-inch steel base plate with a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld. The assembly bears on a one-and-a-half-inch layer of non-shrink grout atop a concrete wall. Anchor bolts with a seven-inch embedment secure the base plate into the concrete wall.
