A Grade 50 steel base plate is specified per schedule, resting above a supporting element with an anchor bolt or rod passing through. A washer plate per AISC Table 14-2 is positioned on top of the base plate, secured with a weld sized at TW/2 with a field weld and all-around symbol indicator.
