Reinforcing bars in concrete grade beams are configured with standard lap splices and corner bar arrangements. Corner intersections require extra corner bars matching the size and quantity of the footing reinforcing. Bends are alternated where possible to prevent congestion and maintain proper concrete cover. The concrete footing width is sized per plan with typical lap splice lengths.
