Hollow structural section members feature drilled weep holes at designated low points to prevent internal moisture accumulation. End conditions incorporate a half-circle weep hole with a three-eighths-inch radius unless noted otherwise, positioned adjacent to an end or fitted plate left unwelded within the weep hole region. Longitudinal members receive three-eighths-inch diameter weep holes drilled perpendicular to the member face along the centerline or low point. All weep holes must be installed per project specifications and structural drawings.
