This structural detail shows a typical base plate plan for a hollow structural section column welded to a steel base plate with a thickness sized per schedule over non-shrink grout. Four headed anchor bolts with oversized washers secure the assembly, positioned at varying dimensions depending on whether supporting an HSS8x8, HSS6x6, HSS5x5, or HSS4x4 column. A one-quarter inch fillet weld connects the column to the base plate on all four sides. Dimension lines detail anchor bolt spacings and edge clearances relative to column centerlines.
