A balloon-framed exterior wall connects to a concrete slab over a metal deck and steel floor beam at the grid line. The steel stud wall is secured to the structure with a Simpson SCB clip fastened using two number 10 screws per stud. A concrete slab with reinforcing over a metal deck bears on an edge angle, and a framing beam connects to the structural support with a detailed shear connection. Wall finishes are applied per architectural specifications to complete the assembly.
