A wood post bears directly on a concrete slab through a Simpson ABU 46 post base. The post is secured to the bracket flanges with through-bolts. The post base is anchored into the concrete slab with a five-eighths inch diameter Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ anchor embedded four inches deep.
