A concrete curb bears on a slab on grade with an optional thickened slab edge as required. Vertical reinforcement consists of number four bars at eighteen inches on center on each face, extending into the slab as dowels. Two continuous number four bars run longitudinally near the top of the curb within the hook configuration. The curb has a width ranging from eight inches minimum to sixteen inches maximum, and a height of twelve inches maximum per architectural requirements.
