An existing anchor bolt is overdrilled using a steel drill bit, followed by a concrete drill bit or core bit to create a hole slightly larger than the existing bolt diameter with a minimum depth of D plus one-sixteenth of an inch. Spalled edges at the drilled hole must be eliminated by selecting an appropriately sized drill bit, keeping the resulting edge vertical and undamaged. The repair surface must be cleaned of all laitance and dried immediately prior to installing rapid refloor repair material to match the existing top surface of the slab.
