A continuous one-quarter-inch by eight-inch by four-inch bent plate is welded to a wide-flange steel beam supporting a roof metal deck. Concrete on metal deck carries a concrete mechanical equipment pad sized per plan with a sloped surface for drainage. Reinforcing bars of size number three spaced at twelve inches on center are welded to the bent plate and lap with the mechanical equipment pad reinforcement maintaining a one-and-one-half-inch minimum clearance.
