An HSS separator beam connects to a wide flange beam via structural angles including an L3x3x1/4 on the near side, an L4x3x1/4 on the far side, and an L6x4x5/16 long leg vertical angle. The HSS beam is framed with an L4x3x1/4 shop welded to the wide flange beam and an L3x3x1/4 shop welded to the HSS beam. A three-quarter inch diameter threaded stud secures the assembly alongside three-sixteenth inch fillet welds specified throughout the connection details.
