A steel beam frames into a hollow structural steel tube beam via a vertical shear tab welded to the tube profile and bolted to the web of the framing beam with three fasteners. The connection relies on the shear tab welded to the face of the supporting HSS tube to transfer end reactions from the supported steel beam.
