An open web steel joist bears on a structural WT shape attached to a concrete panel embed plate. A knife plate welded with a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld connects the assembly. The embed plate measures five-eighths inch by required dimensions by one foot three inches, anchored with four three-quarter inch diameter by six inch headed stud anchors at a four inch gauge. Chord bars per elevation are provided with three number six A706 bars by five feet long on alternate sides, lapping with chord steel.
