A six-inch Schedule 40 steel pipe bollard with a 6.625-inch outer diameter and 0.280-inch wall thickness stands four feet high above the finished surface. The pipe is welded to a one-half-inch base plate secured with four three-quarter-inch anchor bolts into an existing concrete footing. A minimum fourteen-inch diameter blockout or core drill surrounds the pipe base, which is filled with concrete. The hollow interior of the pipe is also filled with concrete up to the top crown.
