This structural detail shows an in-plane diagonal bracing assembly utilizing hollow structural section members HSS 4x0.25. The braces intersect with half-inch thick gusset plates welded with typical quarter-inch fillet welds. The gusset plates connect to the underside of the metal deck and supporting steel framing. Additional structural steel members are bolted at the connection points with standard edge distances and spacings.
