A timber skylight curb is supported by double two-by sub-purlins with specified fastener spacing. A two-by-ten skylight curb is anchored using Simpson A35 framing angles and Simpson HRS8 connectors at each corner. Ten-penny nails are specified at six inches on center for the doubled sub-purlin assembly. The contractor is instructed to double up the sub-purlin specifically at the skylight location per the structural and architectural coordination.
