An exterior wall girt connects to a structural steel column via a single plate shear connection with a three-bolt configuration. A stiffener plate matching the shear tab thickness is welded to the column with three-sixteenths inch typical fillet welds. One and one-half inch clearances are maintained at the top and bottom of the girt extension relative to the elevation benchmarks. The top of steel and bottom of steel elevations are sized per plan.
