A concrete housekeeping pad sits atop a slab on grade with a maximum height of eight inches, requiring location coordination with mechanical trades. The pad is reinforced with number four bars at twelve inches on center each way, featuring a typical lap splice at the edge. The perimeter of the pad is detailed with number four bars at twenty-four inches on center. Contractors may optionally drill and epoxy dowels with a four-inch embedment in lieu of cast-in dowels.
