An exterior column connects to an edge beam sized per plan with a maximum three-inch clearance. An L4x4x1/4 angle with a one-quarter inch fillet weld and a two-inch by twelve-inch plate is provided at the column centerline. A sixteen-gauge pan or deck section is specified to form for concrete, with the steel deck omitted for clarity.
