An HSS 6x4 structural steel post connects to a 6-inch bent plate via two L6x4x3/8 angles positioned on each side of the post. A 7/8-inch diameter erection bolt passes horizontally through the angles and the hollow structural section web. The bent plate is welded to the supporting structure with a quarter-inch fillet weld applied on three sides, indicated as typical with a field weld symbol.
