A structural steel column is welded to a 3/8-inch by 6-inch by 0'-6" steel base plate bearing on a 1-inch layer of non-shrink grout. The base plate is secured to a concrete slab on grade using four 1/2-inch diameter expansion anchor bolts with 5-inch embedment.
