An HSS8x4 vertical column supports intersecting HSS10x4 girts configured with maximum eccentricity per note on S216. A 1/4-inch plate is inset 1/4 inch from the HSS end and secured with 3/16-inch near-side and far-side fillet welds. Additional 1/4-inch and 5/16-inch fillet welds connect the girt assemblies to the main column member. The top of steel elevations for the girts and column base vary per plan.
