A typical intermediate elevator rail support anchors to structural concrete slabs and separator beams. An HSS intermediate rail support tube spans between slab connections, utilizing an L6x4x3/8 angle with a vertical long slotted hole connected via one three-quarter-inch diameter A325 bolt with a hand-tightened and thread-damaged nut. Plates measuring one-half by twelve by sixteen inches welded with quarter-inch fillet welds on three sides anchor into the concrete slab using four half-inch diameter by sixteen-inch deformed bar anchors in a four-by-twelve-inch pattern. Additional L6x6x1/2 angles welded to the slab edge feature three three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch headed studs at four inches on center, with two additional headed studs at intermediate rail support tube locations.
