A structural steel corner connection joins the generator yard screen wall column and beam using welded steel plates and high-strength bolts. A nine-inch by six-and-a-half-inch by half-inch steel plate with two one-inch diameter bolts connects the framing components. Additional half-inch steel plates secured with three one-inch diameter bolts provide joint rigidity, supplemented by a half-inch by eight-inch wide plate with two one-inch diameter bolts. Fillet welds of five-sixteenths inch size tie the plates to the structural members.
