Three distinct steel column base plate configurations are supported on concrete foundations. Detail A features a wide flange column welded to a base plate with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds along the flanges and web, secured by four anchor bolts with a minimum two inch edge distance. Detail B shows an HSS or pipe column centered on a base plate with a one-quarter inch fillet weld and four corner anchor bolts. Detail C displays a W8 column with similar base plate dimensions and five-sixteenths inch fillet welds. All details provide dimensional parameters for plate width and length with standardized edge clearances.
