A wide flange beam frames into the web of a wide flange column using a typical shear plate connection with bolts. Three-eighths-inch thick top and bottom stiffener plates are welded to the column flanges and web, featuring cropped corners to clear the column k-distance. Stiffener plate welds are sized per the engineering table. The beam flanges and web align with top of steel elevations per plan.
