A channel stringer connects to a hollow structural section column using a one-quarter-inch thick plate secured with three three-quarters-inch diameter machine bolts. A three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld attaches the connection plate to the hollow structural section column. The channel stringer is also anchored back to another channel member below the column intersection.
