A wide flange or hollow structural section beam frames into a wide flange or hollow structural section column using bolted shear tabs and welded cap plates. Continuity plates are aligned with beam flanges inside the column web when required by flange thickness calculations. Fillet welds secure the cap plate and shear tab assemblies according to structural design specifications. Bolted connections utilize standard fastener sizes and counts sized per plan.
