Steel beams frame into a hollow structural section column using a slot shear tab connection that passes through the column web. The structural steel beams are bolted to the single plate shear tab with a specified number and size of bolts in the first and second rows. The shear tab plate is welded to the hollow structural section column according to schedule and note requirements. Top of steel elevations are aligned with plan designations.
