Buckling-restrained braces connect to a gusset plate that is welded to the underside of a steel beam. Four total offset middle stiffener plates and web stiffeners are provided at the brace intersection, sized and located per schedule SB-3 with adjustments permitted for sprinkler branch conflicts. The braces are sized per the structural plans and detailed on sheet SB-3.
