An unstiffened sleeve penetrates a composite steel deck and concrete slab without exceeding the limit of cutting one deck web. The sleeve accommodates openings up to six inches in diameter or square. A reference callout directs to detail seven on sheet S-711 for larger sleeves or instances where more than one deck web is cut.
