A six-by lumber nailer matches the steel beam flange width and is secured with seven-eighths-inch diameter welded threaded rods spaced at sixteen inches on center staggered on the beam. The nailer features counter-sunk holes with a maximum depth of three-quarters of an inch. One rod is placed a maximum of nine inches from each end of the nailer and from each splice. Two rows of nailing are provided at nail spacing, with four lines where the nail spacing is staggered and six lines where three lines of nailing are required.
