An HSS hanger connects to a wide-flange beam sized per plan using a typical connection detail. One-half-inch stiffener plates are welded to each side of the member with half-inch fillet welds. A structural connection tab with three bolts fastens the HSS hanger to the wide-flange beam web. Additional notes on sheet S9.13 provide supplementary installation requirements.
