An existing W18 wide flange beam bears onto an existing HSS 8x8 hollow structural section column via a base plate assembly. An existing W16 wide flange beam connects to the primary framing through a bolted gusset or shear plate configuration with multiple rows of bolts. Above the framing, an existing thirty-six inch open web steel joist is anchored in alignment with the column centerline and detail marker D.4. All structural steel elements are designated as existing per the drawing callouts.
