The assembly incorporates two continuous number five bottom bars and two continuous number five top bars with alternating hooks. Transverse reinforcement includes number four bars spaced at ten inches, plus number four tie hooks spaced at nine inches when depth exceeds ten inches or twelve inches when depth is ten inches or less. A three-inch clear cover is maintained at the bottom with sloped subgrade transitions.
