The steel beam connects to a wide-flange or hollow structural section column using a welded-bolted single-plate shear connection sized per schedule. The connection plate is fillet-welded to the column face and bolted to the beam web with diameter and quantity of bolts determined by schedule. The beam to beam framing condition incorporates a flange cope where required with minimum dimensions and edge clearances maintained from the face of the web. Bolt spacing and edge distances conform to AISC Table 10-10a standards with typical spacing noted.
