The assembly features three vertical slots accommodating three number 12 fasteners typically, or two number 12 fasteners at three-and-one-eighth inch studs, along with a center screw and washer in the slot. A quarter-inch bent plate connects to the structure with two low-velocity fasteners at eight inches on center, maintaining a maximum two-inch gap and a minimum seven-eighths inch gap between the bent plate and studs. Bracing is provided within twelve inches above or below the track assembly per structural drawings. Notes specify centering screws and washers in slots, matching clip sizes to stud manufacturers' recommendations, and using clips at each stud and each side of boxed jambs.
