A horizontal angle brace connects to an HSS five-by-five beam and HSS six-by-six post using a half-inch by four-inch by zero-foot-eight-inch plate welded with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on both sides. A diagonal double-angle brace connects to the HSS six-by-six post using a half-inch by six-inch by one-foot-two-inch gusset plate centered on the post and welded with quarter-inch fillet welds. The work point aligns with the center line of the beam as detailed on the plan and elevations.
