An existing concrete column is wrapped with two layers of a Tyfo SEH-51A composite system oriented horizontally over rounded corners with a one-half-inch radius. Three continuous number eight reinforcing bars are installed with number four U-bars at twelve inches on center secured by adhesive anchors into the existing concrete. Tyfo SCH composite anchors measuring one-half-inch diameter by ten inches long with four inches of embedment are spaced at six inches on center, positioned to avoid existing reinforcement. Care must be taken to avoid damaging the existing reinforcing steel during installation.
