Steel beams connect to supporting members using web plates secured with multiple bolts. The web plates attach to the webs of the intersecting steel beams with typical dimensions, including spacing and edge clearances of one and one-half inches and three inches. Connections are specified for both perpendicular and parallel beam configurations.
